Activities, St. Patrick’s Day events, and Easter Egg Hunts in Charleston in March

March is my favorite month of the year, especially in Charleston. The weather is warmer most days, the sun is out longer, and the color green is everywhere as everyone prepares for St. Patrick’s Day activities and Easter. Additionally, March is the month for Charleston Wine and Food, which is my favorite large event I’ve been to while living in Charleston. Beyond major holidays and events, there are plenty of family-friendly activities to take advantage of this month! Below find some of my top picks for the month.

Front Beach Fest (Saturday, March 2, 2024, 12 PM – 4 PM): Enjoy the beach, breeze, and two fun bands at the fest on Front Beach on Isle of Palms. There will be local food vendors and restaurants food for purchase, craft vendors, and activities for the kids.

Charleston Wine & Food (Wednesday March 6- Sunday March 10): There are multiple opportunities for foodies to take advantage of including chef kitchen demonstrations, experiences, and food truck options. There are brunch experiences, beverage workshops, bar takeovers, and classes throughout the week. The event that I typically go to is Culinary Village, which is a wine and food sampling experience along with options to shop during your meal and drink breaks!

Jurassic World Live Tour (Friday March 8 – Sunday March 10): For your dinosaur loving kids, there is an opportunity to see a live arena show with dinosaurs including T. Rex, Blue the Raptor, a triceratops, and stegosaurus!
