As a mom, sometimes we forget to think about ourselves and what may make traveling easier or more enjoyable with or without kids. With work travel starting to pick back up, I noticed some of my travel essential stash needed a refresh. There are some great items out there that can allow us all to take that extra breath and relax on the way to our destination. STORAGE – FITTING ALL YOUR ESSENTIALS
- Personal Carry-on: I always opt for a travel backpack as my personal carryon. They fit great underneath the seat of an airplane and don’t feel like they are weighing me down getting from one place to another. There is always room for other essentials like wallets, phones, books, too.
- Short Trips – Weekenders: If I’m doing a road trip and only staying a night or two, I love a great weekender bag. The ability to have a separate section for your shoes at the bottom is always appreciated.
- Minimalist Wallet: Historically, I always bring too many cards from my wallet. All those unused gift cards, do we really need them? A small wallet, with a holder for AirTags, is a great way to travel lighter. Don’t forget your AirTag!
- Mini Belt Bag: We all love the Lululemon belt bags, but there are options on Amazon with various colors to match your travel gear.
- Cosmetic Bag: A good makeup and toiletry bag is one that can be hung up with the ability to see and access almost everything, reducing clutter and mess away on travels.
- Compact Jewelry Organizer: One of my biggest flaws when traveling is storing my jewelry in any available pocket. A compact organizer can help with space saving and keeping necklaces from knotting and earrings from getting lost.
- Packing Cubes: If you love your luggage to be neat, or you know exactly what outfits you want to wear each day, packing cubes could help with organizing and reducing wrinkles in clothes.
- Electronic Organizers: I always am losing cords for my electronics or tangling up my earbuds. If I know I need to access a charger during my trip, these organizers are a great route.

- Comfortable Pants: I ordered these pants on a whim a few months back and wish I had them in every color. Not only are they cute, but they are loose and lightweight!
- Spiral Hair Ties: There are no other options when it comes to hair ties. I love how my hair stays styled for days.
- Collapsible Water Bottle: These are a great option when you are light on hands getting from point A to point B.
- Phone Holder: If you aren’t a movies on the tablet type of person, or you tend to forget your tablet a lot, there are now phone holder options to watch movies on planes.
- Makeup Mirror: Avoid the risk of dark hotel rooms or rentals with a packable light up travel mirror.
- Travel Fan: This portable neck fan was a local favorite favorite for dealing with hot summer days and perfect for travel to warmer climates.
- Travel Toiletry Bottles: Bring all your favorite toiletries with these cute travel bottles.
- Luggage Scale: Weigh all your souvenirs and goodies before you leave for the airport.
